Job Description

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team.

Purpose of the Position

The main purpose of this position is to take ownership, overall responsibility and accountability for sustainable sales growth and overall business results of the B2B Sales, consisting of all Key Accounts including, Fleets, Workshops and Fitment Centers.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To develop and execute on a national sales strategy for the Key Accounts customer program targeted at workshop and fitment centre groupings.
  • The strategy will seek to offer solutions to business challenges faced by the customer groupings.
  • To ensure strategy is vertically aligned with overall business strategy and horizontally encompasses different strategic paths for the key accounts development space.
  • To ensure that strategy is supported by an appropriate team structure to enable successful execution.
  • To ensure that the strategy maximizes an integrated approach with customers, redefines AutoZone’s current service models and leverages digital and technological developments to accelerate AutoZone’s Omni-channel strategy and B2B e-commerce offering.
  • To ensure that strategy is continuously revisited and aligned with changes in this space.

Key Accounts Optimization

  • To create value proposition for various customer groupings ensuring an offering that is optimal for both parties, and review from time to time to ensure relevance.
  • Drive Key Accounts sales strategy in both existing and potential customer groupings.
  • To establish & enhance strategic partnerships with, workshop customers, fitment Centre Customers and Other Customer groups
  • To ensure that all relevant tenders are entered into, and ensure that the most appropriate offering is tendered.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • To create a sales focused environment where; the team is driven and motivated by the notion of generating business and creating an efficient route to market for every customer grouping.
  • Through data driven solutions creating competitive advantage for AutoZone
  • To collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that the specific customer offerings remain relevant, effective and profitable.
  • To collaborate and partner with digital service providers to accelerate new service offerings in line with AutoZone’s Omni-channel strategy

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Must have minimum of 5 – 7 years in a similar role
  • Must have relevant business / Industry qualification
  • Must have proven track record in business development, sales- and relationship management at a senior level
  • Must have automotive product knowledge and industry experience preferred
  • Must have familiarity with technical- and service environments would be beneficial
  • Passion for and working knowledge of customer facing digital solutions will be a distinct advantage
  • High functioning analytical capability
