Job Description

Our client is urgently looking for a Truck Assistant to join our team urgently.

Duties and Responsibilities:            

• To assist in the delivery, packing and pick up of garments, equipment and materials to and from designated destinations
• To load and unload all delivery vehicles utilizing the use of pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• To deliver and pick up parcels, documents and other distributions as required
• To maintain clean and orderly work place and clean inside all delivery vehicles on a regular basis
• To report any malfunctions of material-handling equipment or damage to vehicles or delivered or equipment to supervisor immediately
• To assist with safe working habits and practices in the performance of pickups and delivery to assure that the job is done safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner to the customers’ satisfaction
• To perform related duties as required or assigned within the job classification
• Must wear uniform and safety shoes at all times. It is important to check Health & Safety.

Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:     

• Must have Grade 9
• Must have ability to read, write and follow written instructions
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have team orientation
• Must have attention to detail
• Must be a team player.
