Job Description

Our client is urgently looking for a Service Manager at Standerton, Mpumalanga.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To ensure that the Service department contributes to customer satisfaction by providing optimal customer care
To promote the dealers service departments capabilities and strengths
To determine customer needs and communicate these to the service shop and deliver the vehicle on time
Understand the customer’s concerns
To record customer requirements and details accurately
To identify potential marketing opportunities
Promote dealer service benefits to potential customers
To answer telephone as per Toyota Telephone Standards
Strictly use current Standard Operating Procedure for Reception Process to take appointments
To ensure customers are notified of payment prior to collection
To ensure all warranty and motorplan work has been identified and signed for by the customer
To maintain effective communication / liaison with customers and workshop staff
To take initiative to make decisions in the best interest of the customer
To maintain regular contact with the customer
To ensure vehicle is completed at promised time
To sell features, advantages and benefits to the customer
Monitor sub-let repairs
To follow-up on awaiting parts – special order parts
To sell additional products, services and repairs in a professional manner
To ensure all repairs and parts, as requested, have been carried out and charged for

Qualifications and Skills:

Must have Matric / Grade 12
Must have sound / basic technical product knowledge
Must have good people handling and leadership skills including communication skills
Must have ability to communicate empathetically with customers
Must be fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
Must have good listening skills
Must have good time management and administrative skills
