Job Description

We are urgently looking for a food service agent to start working immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To ensure that work areas are kept neat and tidy at all times according to Hygiene Standards
• To take orders from customers and serve drinks as per the service training.
• Attending to customer requests and queries.
• To serve beverage and food according to client’s requests and needs.
• To adhere to the company’s uniform policy at all times.
• To comply strictly to HACCP rules and regulations and fill in CCP Records.
• To comply to all rules on personal conduct and behavior while in the lounge.
• To follow any other lawful instruction from your Shift Manager and Air Chefs management.
• To make sure that the food presentation is appealing at all times.
• Adhering strictly to Portion Control and specification.
• To ensure that Stock rotation is carried out on a daily basis (FIFO).
• To record all expired stock in the appropriate form.
• Stock fridges and service area with appropriate beverages and food to ensure continuous availability of stock.
• To ensure that workstations are replenished sufficiently and timeously
• To record stock used for replenishment purposes
• To report stock shortages to your Shift Manager according to stock movement in service areas.
• To prepare food stations for the shift by replenishing food items and beverage according to station menu specification.
• To prepare food platters for serving by cutting, adding fresh produce and setting-up of cheese platters according to menu specification.
• To clean station equipment, dry store room, and service station according to HACCP standards.
• Adhere to all aspects of Security, SHEQ, HACCP and operational policies and procedures.
• Operational day to day instructions to be given by SAA Team Leaders
• To conduct work in a customer orientated manner to ensure adherence to service level agreements

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

• Must have Grade 12
• Must have 2 years’ experience in food station preparation and serving of food.
• Must have First Aid training.
• Beverage preparation training

Required Knowledge and Competencies:

• Fine Dining experience advantageous
• Must have good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must have good interpersonal relations
• Must have ability to work independently
• Must be a team player
• Must have excellent interpretation of catering industry and customer service.
