Job Description

Our client is urgently looking for Driver to join our team urgently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To perform driving duties to and from designated locations for the purposes of deliveries and collections.
• To ensure all stock has been carefully loaded into and off the delivery vehicle.
• To apply branch drop-and-go delivery principles safely and with due consideration to minimize discrepancies and damages.
• To apply Own Transport delivery principles safely and with due consideration to minimize discrepancies and damages.
• To ensure all paperwork is collected, checked, signed, and delivered correctly where applicable.
• To conduct daily inspection of the vehicle, ensuring that the vehicle is in good working order and roadworthy.
• To keep the vehicle neat and tidy, ensuring all packaging is removed from the vehicles on a daily basis.
• To execute other warehouse duties.
• To participate in stock takes.
• To provide a full debriefing after each trip on a daily basis.

Required Skills:

• Must have logistics skills
• Must have driving skills

Key Requirements:

• Must have Grade 12
• Must be in possession of a legal and valid driver’s license and goods conveyance permit without endorsements ie. CODE 10 & PDP
• Must be medically and physically fit to drive the company vehicle
• Must have 3 years relevant work experience
• Must have strong communication skills as well as process-driven
• Must have reliable transport
