Job Description

Our client is urgently looking for a Driver to join the team in Blaauwberg.

Duties and Responsibilities:            

• Must have ability to work quickly and calmly in emergencies
• Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathise
• Patience and tolerance
• Caring and sympathetic nature
• Physical fitness
• Must have ability to respect patient confidentiality
• Emotional resilience
• Must have flexible approach to work
• Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
• Must have ability to follow instructions and work to tight time constraints
• Reliability and dependability
• To deliver all goods safely and timeously
• To ensure vehicle is clean and serviced regularly
• Must have ability to work late shifts.

Skills and Competencies:                

• Must be presentable and neat
• Must have excellent customer service
• Must have good command of English.

Required Qualifications:                

• Must have minimum Grade 12
• Must have 1 – 2 years’ experience as a Porter within a hospital/experience in a nursing or care home environment is highly advantageous.
• Must have 1 – 2 years’ experience in health and safety standards.
• Intermediate experience and knowledge working on a computer and computer packages.
• Must have valid Driver’s licence
