Job Description

Ackermans has an exciting opportunity for an Advertising Specialist: Media to work with us. This position is based at our Support Centre, in Kuilsriver and will be part of a very diverse and vibrant Marketing team. This position will report directly to the Digital Marketing Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have BSc degree in Marketing, Digital Media or relevant field
  • Digital Marketing certification – Advantageous
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Skills required:

  • Fully versed and proficient in Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager & Google My Business
  • Must have excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Must have ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience required:

  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience in digital marketing
  • Must have proven work experience as a Digital Media Specialist or similar
  • Must have experience in digital media buying and planning
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience for a media agency
  • Must have experience in delivering end to end digital marketing campaigns
  • Must have experience in data analysis and insights creation

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Campaigns & marketing strategy focused initiatives:
  • To collaborate with Marketing department to determine optimal media execution
  • To manage digital media planning & buying
  • Identification and proposals to address issues and opportunities identified in line with strategy
  • To manage campaign deliverables from end-to-end
  1. Marketing process
  • To provide input into the continuous improvement of the marketing process from brief to post campaign analysis and execute on it
  1. Reporting

Compiling, analysis and/or interpretation of the:

  • Monthly management reports
  • Monthly or Quartely Digital Business Reviews
  • Business Plans
  • Post campaign Analysis
  1. Management
  • Expense Management
  • Stakeholder management
