Job Description

  • To co-ordinate, maintain and improve systems and Firearms Policies and Procedures
  • Firearm Compliance Audits based on the Firearms Control Act and organization Firearms Policies and Procedures to be conducted at Regional offices, Branches and on all sites
  • To facilitate and train on all relevant processes and legal requirements
  • To ensure compliance to the Company’s disciplinary code
  • Maintenance and compliance of the ISO 9001 quality management system in terms of non – conformance raised during firearm audits
  • To submit monthly reports for Executive Management and Risk Committee.
  • To compile written feedback reports on audit findings, follow up on corrective actions taken or implemented
  • To ensure monthly submission of firearm reports, compliance declarations / Branch self-Audits.

Required Skills

  • Must have experience of 3 to 4 years in Ms Office.
  • Must have 4 to 5 years of experience in ISO Auditing
  • Must have 5 to 6 years of experience in security audits
  • Must have management skills and experience of 5 to 6 years

Candidate Requirements

  • Must have PSIRA certification – Grade A
  • Must have Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Must have relevant experience in a similar position essential
  • Must have SAMTRAC or Equivalent Qualification
  • Must have SHEQ management
  • Must have ISO 9001/2015 quality knowledge and experience
  • Firearm competency in handgun, shotgun, rifle and machine carbine, knowledge of the Firearms Control Act and experience in dealing with /auditing firearms essential
  • Internal Audit or Lead Auditors Training
  • Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Must have good planning and time management
  • Must have problem solving and organizational skills
  • Team player oriented
  • Must have training and legal interpretation skills
  • Must have good customer service skills
  • Must be driven, have energy and attention to detail
  • Must be clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record essential
  • Must have Driver’s License & Own transport; must be willing and able to travel extensively
